Security Management Resources® is seeking well-qualified candidates for this senior safety leadership role. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Safety and Security, you will develop and manage an enterprise-wide program for a multinational corporation. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who employs a comprehensive approach to challenges and can develop strategic visions for achievement.
Responsibilities
Leadership
– Manage a geographically distributed team of specialized safety managers and practitioners.
– Lead cross-functional task forces requiring multi-departmental participation.
– Foster relationships with regulatory agencies.
Resiliency and Incident Response
– Continuously analyze risk factors and develop action timelines based on risk assessment.
– Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize potential crisis situations.
– Ensure initiatives are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Intelligence
– Develop predictive analytics models for multiple locations and events.
– Proactively model threats and evaluate emerging trends and technologies.
– Brief stakeholders and executive leadership.
Human Capital
– Develop life safety programs and policies.
– Foster awareness of safety and build a safety-conscious workplace culture through development and delivery of training initiatives.
Essential Skills
You Have:
- An academic degree with a commitment to professional development for direct reports, others, and yourself.
- Operational ability derived from private sector employment, preferably with experience in development of large-scale safety programs.
- A record of working collaboratively with regulatory agencies and associations.
- Leadership composure with the ability to both direct, coach and motivate a diverse workforce.

- A problem-solver who can prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
- Organizationally and politically savvy with the knowledge of how to drive consensus both formally and informally.
