Are you a motivated security professional with at least ten years of progressive security, government, or industry experience? If so, you are the ideal candidate for this position if you also have:
- University degree required, preferably in security administration or a closely related discipline.
- Continuing education and advanced training in security management and related areas such as physical security, emergency planning and response, and personnel security.
- Considerable experience working in high-paced, diverse environments, ideally in roles overseeing complex security programs.
- Strong technical acumen with security technologies and collaboration platforms, including the ability to manage and optimize internal sites and tools.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills, with sound judgment, ability to maintain confidentiality, meticulous attention to detail, and flexibility to meet evolving institutional needs.
What You’ll Take Ownership of in This Role
- Serve as leadership team member, advising senior and executive management on operational security, physical security protocols, threat/risk assessments, and emergency response.
- Lead the organization’s security function, overseeing policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines across multiple offices.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve office security and emergency management programs in coordination with internal partners.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with law enforcement, national security and intelligence agencies, and peer organizations.
- Direct threat and risk assessments, personal protection programs, special event security, investigations, and personnel security in close partnership with internal stakeholders and third-party contractors.
