Overview
Security Management Resources® is launching a search for the new position of Director, Security Intelligence Strategy. This is a senior position in our client’s company, serving as the principal leader responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, enterprise-wide global security intelligence strategy. Ideal candidates for this role will have an extensive government intelligence background combined with private sector threat analysis experience. You must be a U.S. citizen and able to travel globally, sometimes on short notice. This is an on-site role, and relocation to the Pacific Northwest is required for the successful applicant. Responsibilities
- Formulate and apply standards and protocols to collect security intelligence from multiple sources.
- Develop analytical frameworks to interpret intelligence and generate actionable assessments.
- Collaborate with company counterparts to strengthen intelligence collection and analysis capabilities, while managing internal communication channels to ensure intelligence is distributed accurately to the appropriate recipients.
- Provide security leadership and senior executives with regular intelligence briefings as well as country-specific risk assessments to inform and support global travel and business operations.
- Strengthen and advance insider risk programs and intellectual property protection efforts company-wide by benchmarking industry best practices and incorporating innovative methodologies into security operations.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with intelligence sources across key global markets, while collaborating with law enforcement and intelligence agencies to identify and develop actionable intelligence opportunities.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- An academic degree with a commitment to professional development for direct reports, others, and yourself.
- Substantial relevant experience with a government intelligence agency, together with a proven record in a similar position with a multinational corporation.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, oral, and written communication abilities, along with effective presentation skills and a dedicated customer service mindset.
- Expertise in protective intelligence, reputational risk mitigation, and insider risk management, with a thorough grasp of strategies for safeguarding intellectual property.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a full workload in a high-performance setting, while successfully collaborating across functions within a matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting senior leadership and government officials and delivering training and awareness programs to internal and external stakeholders.
