Your mission as the Vice President, Global Security and Safety will be to envision, develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to safeguard a wide variety of assets around the world. The safety of the company’s employees, customers, affiliates, executives, and owners is equally paramount. You will also develop core teams to assess relevant risks, initiate loss prevention strategies, and ensure and maintain compliance. Success in achieving these goals will be driven by your customer service spirit and history of excellence in partnership with others.
Responsibilities
Leadership
– Innovate and implement global security, safety, and loss prevention programs aligned with enterprise goals.
– Conduct risk assessments to identify potential workplace threats and vulnerabilities and ensure initiative-taking measures are in place to safeguard physical assets, employees, executives, and intellectual property.
Compliance
– Ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of physical security systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems are state-of-the-art.
– Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to assess impact and ensure compliance.
Human Capital
– Develop and implement protection programs for executives.
– Initiate a process to assess security and related risks for all personnel traveling to high-risk locations.
Safety Training:
– Develop crisis management programs to mitigate risks and respond to incidents effectively.
– Develop and deliver security and life safety training programs for employees, fostering a security-conscious and safety-first culture within the organization.
Financial
– Develop programs and processes designed to mitigate fraud and economic loss.
– Refine and ensure successful programs are on target.
Relationship Management
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive transformation.
– Build strong relationships with global intelligence and law enforcement agencies and industry peers.
Essential Skills
- An academic degree in a relevant field with a commitment to professional development for direct reports, others, and yourself.
- A combination of experience in both the public and private sectors, to include large, multinational, diverse organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading people, processes, and programs in the fields of security, safety, risk assessment, and loss prevention.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
