Overview
Join one of the most recognizable multinational brands as their new Security Manager for Africa, the Middle East and Turkey! This is a brand-new role responsible for supporting all security and risk management activities for a variety of operations in AMET. This job is perfect for you if you are a seasoned security professional with in-depth knowledge of the region. Preferred base for this position is Kenya or South Africa, and the ideal candidate will currently be resident in Africa.
Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with country and regional management teams to implement enterprise standards, policies, and processes within the region.
- Travel within the region to conduct security assessments for all assets to ensure compliance and alignment with corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure protection of corporate assets, operations, and human capital within the region.
- Develop standards for third party vendors to protect supply chain integrity.
- Develop and support relationships with local law enforcement, international security agencies, and country governments.
- Develop and analyze intelligence to accurately assess potential risks and brief senior management teams about potential threats.
- Conduct investigations surrounding fraud, theft, or misappropriation of property.
- Participate in regional crisis management exercises and activities.
- Expand a culture of security awareness and prevention of security incidents.’
- Foster awareness of security related concerns through development and delivery of education initiatives.
Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- A verifiable university degree with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Operational ability derived from a combination of experience in both the public and private sectors.
- An active listener with previous experience conducting complex cross-border investigations.
- The ability to start and manage security projects and initiatives.
- Thorough understanding of design and implementation of security systems with CPTED knowledge required.
- Will travel internationally, sometimes on short notice in potentially high-threat environments.
- Collaborative approach to building rapport with diverse audiences.
- Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Current citizen or resident/work permit in preferred base location.
