Director of Security, North America
Location: East Coast, US
This role in security leadership is a terrific opportunity for someone with a public-sector agency background, ideally with the FBI, to join a well-regarded multinational corporation as their new North America-based Director of Security. This is the senior-most role in the region and will manage security guidance and support for multiple facilities.
Responsibilities
This position reports to the Global Security Director and manages a close-knit team of regional security and crisis management professionals and third-party service providers. You will collaborate and partner with other departments, playing a key role in all aspects of security and risk management across North America. Building strong relationships with intelligence and law enforcement agencies will ensure you are regarded as the SME for threat intelligence pertaining to regional operations.
This is a hands-on role that requires building out strategies to address critical incidents. You will develop standards designed to limit risk and train crisis response teams. You will also initiate, lead, and take part in a wide variety of investigations.
You will travel throughout the region on a regular basis to ensure facilities and locations implement new protection programs. Compliance with regulations that vary based on countries and states is another function of this position. This role also manages travel and event security programs.

Ideally, you will have operational expertise gained from experience in both the public and private sectors, with a preference for employment in the FBI. Someone who is an active listener and a good judge of character will excel in this role. You should also have strong investigative skills. The ability to collaborate with sometimes remotely located team members is needed, as is the ability to drive consensus both formally and informally.
If you are motivated to establish yourself as a trusted and respected leader by providing the highest level of customer service to both internal and external clients, this job is for you!
