Overview
Security Management Resources® is recruiting for a fantastic new protective services leadership position. This is an opportunity for an experienced security professional to join a tightly knit family office team in support of a high-visibility client. This is very much a hands-on role and requires someone who exudes confidence while remaining accessible and inviting trust. In addition to practitioner skills and competencies, you may be chartered with additional program development and build-out. This is an armed role and an outstanding job for someone who has prior US Federal Government law enforcement experience. This position may be domiciled in one of three locations in the Continental United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide and advise on executive protection services for the principal and other family members.
- Monitor intelligence sources to identify and develop protective countermeasures for potential threats.
- Conduct advance travel planning and security vulnerability assessments.
- Maintain relationships with local and Federal law enforcement agencies and facilitate coordination in any emergency or crisis response activities.
- Assist in hiring, management, and scheduling of any third-party contractors.
- Travel domestically with the principal and family, occasionally at short notice.
Requirements, Education, Skills, and Competencies
- Education in a related discipline such as criminal justice or security management.
- Public sector protective service experience with the ability to blend seamlessly into a family office environment.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people across all levels of an organization.
- The ability to be effective in various work locales such as in-office, residential, and hotel accommodations.
- Knowledge of physical security systems and technology.
- Currently meets all LEOSA criteria.
- Additional protective services skills such as defensive driving and current CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
