Overview
Security Management Resources® has been retained to identify top security leaders for an outstanding new role as our client’s Director of Global Security and Business Continuity. You will develop and manage a comprehensive, enterprise-wide program for one of the world’s leading multinational corporations. This is a tremendous opportunity for an executive leader who thrives on breaking new ground to create innovative programs and processes that will be viewed as industry standards. Someone who has substantial continuing education together with extensive senior leadership in international settings will excel in this role. The position is based in Texas and will travel globally in support of this comprehensive new program.
Responsibilities
- Manage a global team of specialized security, risk, and resilience professionals and third-party contractors.
- Collect and analyze data and intelligence; develop predictive analytics models and produce risk-based strategies for potential events at multiple locations.
- Develop governance standards for a full complement of security functions.
- Collaborate with peers to develop internal resilience certification standards.
- Ensure global compliance with international industry standards and regulations.
- Develop crisis management strategies, design related training, and brief leadership in the event of an incident.
- Proactively model threats and evaluate emerging trends and technologies.
- Acquire and ensure installation of industry-leading security technologies for a wide range of enterprise assets.
- Oversee executive protection programs and travel security initiatives.
- Liaise with all levels of government agencies around the world in pursuit of enterprise advocacy.
Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Competencies
- A university degree with a preference for higher education in a related field or discipline.
- Substantial executive leadership of comprehensive security, risk, and crisis management programs in multinational corporations.
- Extensive experience in leading complex investigations in the US and in international justice systems.
- Experience working in multinational manufacturing with supply chain audit experience.
- Critical and analytical thinking skills, enabling the ability to accurately assess intelligence from a wide range of sources.
- The ability to innovate and produce complex, actionable plans.
- Effective communication and influencing skills across global audiences.
- Desire to build strong, effective relationships with a wide range of individuals.
- The ability to advocate for enterprise initiatives clearly and successfully.
- Impeccable reputation and ethics with the ability to obtain security clearances.
